Spring Break in Colorado

Being in medical school is hard stuff.  But I think I'm okay with still having spring, Christmas, and summer break.  And now that Scott starts his PhD next year we have at least 3 more years of them!
We were so excited that we could go out to Colorado to see Scott's family who we haven't seen since October!! Jackson has grown up so much since then and everyone was so excited to see the little boy he has become.

It started out early with a 6:10am flight, meaning we had to wake up at 2:30am to leave for the airport.  Ouch.  But luckily, Jackson slept almost the whole time and did so well when he was awake.

We had a rough time from the flying (threw up on the way home from the airport AND on the plane back home) and from the time change.  He was up at 5:30am every day and didn't do so great with nap time. But we took turns and dealt with it.

While we were there we did LOTS of shopping and LOTS of hanging out with family and friends. We found some AWESOME fabric to make a quilt for our little baby coming in August.

Jackson and I met up with our friends Ashley and Ryder at the park on one of the warmer days there. It is always so great catching up with them.  Little boys are funny though.  Ryder and Jackson ignored each other most of the time.  The only interaction was because Ryder brought a basketball (Jackson's current obsession also) and Jackson wanted to play with it.  By the end though they were playing "catch" with each other.

On Saturday we went with everyone to the Butterfly Pavilion and the National Museum for atmospheric something.  HA. The Butterfly Pavilion was so much fun! They have a bunch of insects, fishes, and of course butterflies.  Jackson loved it at first.  He went right up to a butterfly and grabbed it.  We all of course kind of freaked out because you aren't supposed to touch them.  After that he was SCARED of them.  He also saw his daddy kind of freaking out because a butterfly was flying around him.  As soon as that thing started flying around Jackson, OH MAN. Screaming and Crying.  He was not impressed.  He didn't even like it being on his cousin Christian.

Jackson had so much fun with his cousins.  He loved watching them play and run around and be crazy. He loved playing at Papa's park and with the small four wheeler. He wasn't so nice to Jules though.  He kept pushing her. Luckily, she is pretty tough.

Loved being back in Colorado, and hope we can make it back out soon.  Hopefully it's before Christmas!
At the Fort Collins future temple site!

2:30 AM?! You pulled your groggy bodies out of bed and drove to the airport.... At 2:30 AM?! Insane!! I am glad that Jackson slept most of the time, though!! ;)
Wait. Jackson did not mind the butterflies.... But then they freaked him out?! That is sort of funny!! ;-D
