What I LOVE about you!

The way your eyebrows express so much.  I'm pretty sure your right one has a mind of it's own.


When I'm coming down the stairs in the morning (if daddy has gotten up with you) and you see me, you get a HUGE grin and crawl over to the stairs to see me while screaming for joy!

Your giggle.  I love knowing the little things that make you laugh.  Peak a Boo.  You get so scared and you jump so high in the air and just laugh away.

How you can put a smile on ANYONES face.  You have a killer grin and the biggest cheeks that seem like they are going to pop!


When I go in to check on you before I go to bed you are in a completely different position! Sometimes 
stuck in the corner, sometimes with limbs sticking out the crib bars.


When I'm holding you and patting your back, you lay your head down on my shoulder and start patting my back.



When we lay you down to go to sleep (at night or a nap) you reach back for the blanket and pull it close to your face.

You are such a tough dude.  You bang your head, fall down, and smack your face all the time now.  Sometimes you cry for a couple of seconds before you are over it, and other times you don't cry at all and move on. 

You LOVE Scout.  You laugh at everything he does and usually want to be bothering him if he is near.  


After you wake up from sleeping you need to cuddle.  If I put you down, even to change your diaper, after I get you out of your crib you get so sad! 

When you are done eating you smack your hands together like your clapping, only the spoon of food is in between causing it to fly everywhere.  You usually time it PERFECTLY!


If I leave the room while you are looking at me, you scream and start crawling toward me saying "MAMA MAMA MAMA"


This little boy is such a sweet heart and a handful! I am so blessed to be his Mama!!

Jackson is... 2???

How did that happen?! 2 years ago today we got to finally go home after his open heart surgery after being born, which you can read about  RIGHT HERE What a fun little man we have on our hands.  He runs around all day.  Loves anything to do with balls, cars, and trains.  Typical boy.  He talks in full sentences, sleeps in a big boy bed, and we will soon start potty training! He also sings songs the ABCs and many songs he has learned at church.  So cute to listen. Thank you Lucie for the adorable pictures!   For his birthday I really wanted to do something low key and not too much work.  Of course that doesn't apply to the cake, the most fun part! We took what Jackson loved and made a party out of it. Metopic Craniosynostosis

Updated Pictures of my handsome 4 year old! The most noticeable part is the scars is above his ears on either side. This spreading of the scar doesn't always happen but he seemed to have a lot of swelling after surgery in this area which stretched out the scars. The scares are most noticeable after a hair cut (which is during this). You can kind of see in this picture his squiggle scar that goes across his head from ear to ear. It's not super noticeable. I often get asked about Jackson's scar on his head.  Although his hair has grown A LOT since his surgery, it is still pretty obvious I think.  People are so funny about it though.  We usually get double takes or triple takes and only some people are bold enough to ask. WHICH IS FINE!  I don't know why people are so scared to ask.  Maybe because they think they will offend me? I don't know.  But some do ask and I reply he had Metopic Craniosynostosis. Baby Girls Nursery Reveal

After having two boys, and putting together two different BOY nurseries, I was so excited to go in a completely different direction this time around.  Yes, dinos, cars, and animals are cute, but girly pink and flowers are much more fun to craft together.  This nursery turned out better than I thought it would and it is all DIY! And if I did it, so can you! Thank you PINTEREST! Lets start with the walls.  Where the white is, there used to be green with a small white stripe.  Originally, we were just going to paint it and leave it white. BUT, after doing that I HATED it! Luckily, I gained some inspiration from the bedding and found  these vinyl triangles   on Etsy.  They were a great price and we were very pleased with them.  Especially because they came with more than the 100 it said it would. The laser level came in handy when hanging these. The bedding I couldn't find bedding that I really liked anywhere.  Again, I turned to Etsy but then realized
