What a long and fun Christmas break we had! 

It was 3 weeks long

Everyone spent the night at Nana and Papa's on Christmas Eve.  10 kids, 10 adults, so many presents!  We weren't done opening presents until 2pm!

We really had a fun time in Colorado and Kansas City for Christmas vacation.  I will say though, 3 weeks is too long for a vacation with 2 kids! 

We are now back at home, Christmas is packed away and we are ready for the new year!

Jackson is... 2???

How did that happen?! 2 years ago today we got to finally go home after his open heart surgery after being born, which you can read about  RIGHT HERE What a fun little man we have on our hands.  He runs around all day.  Loves anything to do with balls, cars, and trains.  Typical boy.  He talks in full sentences, sleeps in a big boy bed, and we will soon start potty training! He also sings songs the ABCs and many songs he has learned at church.  So cute to listen. Thank you Lucie for the adorable pictures!   For his birthday I really wanted to do something low key and not too much work.  Of course that doesn't apply to the cake, the most fun part! We took what Jackson loved and made a party out of it. A ball party.  We had it in our backyard, invited a few of his friends (also my nieces and nephew were in town!) and played with big and small balls, all sports balls, and bubbles (ball shaped). Metopic Craniosynostosis

Updated Pictures of my handsome 4 year old! The most noticeable part is the scars is above his ears on either side. This spreading of the scar doesn't always happen but he seemed to have a lot of swelling after surgery in this area which stretched out the scars. The scares are most noticeable after a hair cut (which is during this). You can kind of see in this picture his squiggle scar that goes across his head from ear to ear. It's not super noticeable. I often get asked about Jackson's scar on his head.  Although his hair has grown A LOT since his surgery, it is still pretty obvious I think.  People are so funny about it though.  We usually get double takes or triple takes and only some people are bold enough to ask. WHICH IS FINE!  I don't know why people are so scared to ask.  Maybe because they think they will offend me? I don't know.  But some do ask and I reply he had Metopic Craniosynostosis. Here comes baby #2

FINALLY glad I can tell everyone! We are expecting our 2nd baby around the end of August 2014.  Still no idea what gender, but I do have a hunch. Here is the cute little video announcement I made on iMovie. I am also very glad to announce it so I can stop trying to hid it.  My belly seriously popped out a week after I found out (4 weeks).  People were starting to get suspicious, especially at church.  Every Sunday I would try on 10 different outfits, trying to find one that didn't show that little pooch sticking out! The pregnancy has been SO different than Jackson.  With him, I found out at about 6 weeks.  I got one really big migraine (and couldn't take anything) and then after that I had NONE until about half way through nursing (6 months old) they started to come back. But they were only headaches.  Since I have been pregnant I have had them TOO often.  Sometimes every other day for a couple of days, and some lasting multiple days. ...
